About the Digital Content Producer Role

350.org is seeking a social media expert to use various digital tools and tactics to create and monitor engaging cross-platform content that motivates climate action. The ideal candidate will thrive in the fast-paced global climate movement and have experience in a global digital context.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor global climate-related news and trending online conversations.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to engage with the audience online.
  • Create diverse content for global campaigns, including videos, graphics, blogs, and more.
  • Manage content scheduling and distribution across platforms.
  • Test new social media tools and tactics.
  • Analyze channel performance and report findings to the team.
  • Maintain the social media calendar.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in digital campaigning for movement-building.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficiency with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and WordPress.
  • Strategic campaign development and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team player who can adapt to a high-pressure, collaborative environment.
  • Efficient time and workload management.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of the climate movement and commitment to a Fossil Free future.
  • Experience with social listening tools like Hootsuite, Meltwater, or Talkwalker.
  • Experience in online and offline organizing and mobilization.
  • Video editing and graphic design skills.
  • Comfort working with global colleagues via online tools.

Position Details

Type: Full-time

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
Salary Ranges:

  • South Africa: 300,400ZAR – 375,500ZAR
  • United Kingdom: 28,000GBP – 35,300GBP
  • US: 48,000USD – 60,000USD
    Location: Remote, with options for US-based employees to work from offices in DC, Brooklyn, or Oakland, or remotely in certain states.
