Plaid fuels the tools that millions rely on for better financial management, collaborating with numerous companies like Venmo and SoFi, as well as major banks, to streamline the connection between people’s financial accounts and the apps they prefer. The Investments & Liabilities team focuses on enhancing financial management, robo-advising, and lending solutions for Plaid customers. We achieve this by optimizing investments and loans across millions of accounts, navigating a diverse array of financial securities, currencies, and loan providers. Operating as a remote-first and highly collaborative unit, our work encompasses various technologies, services, and product domains within Plaid.

As the leader of the Investments and Liabilities team, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to shape a comprehensive roadmap for our investments and liabilities products, steering its execution. You’ll also foster the growth of a skilled backend engineering team, contributing to new product initiatives through recruitment and development efforts.

What Excites Us:

  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering management experience, alongside at least 4 years as a software engineer.
  • Educational background in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in building API products.
  • Track record of managing a production product and collaborating with product managers and/or business partners to drive results.
  • A problem-solving orientation and a willingness to extend beyond conventional roles.
  • Desirable: Previous involvement in investments or lending domains.
