Job Title: Legal Operations Coordinator at Alpaca

Description:
As the Legal Operations Coordinator at Alpaca, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing efficiency and standardizing legal operations throughout the organization. Your responsibilities will span various facets of legal administration, from developing and implementing best practices to managing the contract lifecycle and coordinating key legal documents. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be integral as you streamline processes, compile essential documents, and support the overall growth of Alpaca.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures to standardize legal operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards on key legal metrics and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Review and triage contracts, lead internal contract processes, and address challenges from counterparties.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, including development, approval coordination, file management, and database maintenance.
  • Coordinate the execution of key legal documents and compile libraries of commercial documents.
  • Collaborate on cross-team training, playbooks, contract templates, and legal processes to support scalability.
  • Maintain a central library of corporate and legal documents within Confluence/Google Drive.
  • Assist in maintaining entity registrations/licenses and support international expansion efforts.
  • Provide general support to the Director of Legal and perform ad hoc administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in a contract and administration role, preferably within a SaaS/fintech company.
  • Proficiency in contract administration processes and administrative tasks.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, coupled with business acumen and judgment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work independently on multiple priorities.
  • Adaptability and a capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly scaling environment.
  • Understanding of and commitment to compliance with company policies and practices.
  • Strong MacOS computer skills, including proficiency in Google Suite, Confluence, MS Word, and MS Excel.
