Remote Google Workspace & UiPath Automation Developer

June 8, 2024

Job Description

Do you meticulously optimize every game you play, and feel physical pain when you see people doing things inefficiently?

Do you thrive in a high-stress environment filled with political infighting, bureaucracy, and corporate nonsense?

If so, this might not be the place for you, as we’re a company full of happy, competent people who don’t tolerate jerks. Frankly, it makes me sick how nice everyone is here.

We are a fully remote company with flexible hours, judging people by their output rather than their ability to suck up to the boss. Our turnover is extremely low because we believe that happy employees lead to happy customers and a happy bank account. Disgusting, right?

Is this a real job ad?

Absolutely! We actually paid to post this on multiple job sites, and it’s not a pyramid scheme! Plus, our owner has just started paying our 50ish employees with actual money instead of Pizza Hut coupons – we’re moving up in the world.

Check out our careers page to learn more about our insane company (it even won a web design award in 1993):

And see our reviews on Google, Glassdoor, or Indeed to confirm it’s not just the founder’s mother who thinks we’re cool.

What do you guys do?

We do a variety of things, including selling awesome consumer products like:

We also run a top-notch Amazon Pay-Per-Click agency:, and we will soon be launching a SaaS product for inventory management. We aim to grow rapidly every year and need good people to help us keep up.

What is your company like?

  1. Full Time Remote/Flexible Hours: Work from home in your pajamas, on your schedule. As long as you get a lot of work done, we’re happy campers.
  2. Complete Work/Life Balance: We want you to operate at 100% capacity, which means you need to rest. If you’re routinely working more than 45 hours, you’ll get a friendly talking-to.
  3. Be Yourself: You can talk smack to the CEO, and no one will think anything of it.
  4. Major Opportunities for Career Growth: We plan to hit $100 million annually in the next few years and promote quickly based on talent and results.
  5. Strongly Anti-BS: Anyone can (and is expected to) tell the CEO when he is wrong. No bureaucratic rules.
  6. No Micro-Management: Once trained, we are hands-off. If you need external management to stay on-task and motivated, this isn’t the place for you.
  7. Supportive Environment: Minimal internal politics and a focus on everyone’s success.
  8. No Toxic People Allowed: We screen out mean people and fire them quickly if they slip through.
  9. Investment in Training: Constant learning and improvement are encouraged.
  10. 4-6+ Weeks Vacation: We want you to recharge, so plenty of time off is essential.
  11. Self-Funded: We make decisions based on the long-term health of the company, not to appease investors.

What are your company’s values?

Yes, they are legitimately our values. The careers page is definitely worth a look.

OK, so what’s the actual job?

In short: Improving our Google Sheets-based ERP.

We have an extensive Google Sheets system for managing many aspects of the company. While it works well, there’s room for improvement. Your job will be to enhance the efficiency of existing tools and build new ones to streamline our operations.

Do I need experience?

You need experience with automation. This isn’t an entry-level role, but being a good problem solver and learner is crucial.

Do I need a college degree?

You just need to be awesome.

Are there any geographic restrictions?

As long as you are in a country that doesn’t have active sanctions from the US government, we’re interested.

What is your “tech” stack?

  • Google Sheets
  • Apps Script
  • BigQuery
  • UiPath
  • AutoHotKey

Why don’t you just build software?

We have a software team, but we will never stop using Google Sheets because of its speed, ease of use, and maintainability.

What do I need to do to apply?

Submit your information on the following page to apply. We promise to respond within 5-10 business days. The process includes a long written application, interviews, and paid work tests.
