Sales Operations Team Mission:
Our goal is to enhance the effectiveness, productivity, and success of our Sales & Success teams. We provide our leaders with the necessary data and information to make quick and informed business decisions. We ensure our teams operate with consistent policies and procedures, promoting efficiency and fairness. Additionally, we identify opportunities to drive revenue growth.

Role of Sales Operations Manager:
As a Sales Operations Manager, you will lead a group of Sales Operations Analysts supporting our Sales and Sales Development functions. Your role involves coaching and developing the skills of your team members. You’ll collaborate with Sales and Sales Development leaders to identify business needs and goals. Using your technical background, you’ll scope new data projects and reporting tools, and contribute your business acumen to strategic planning. Collaboration with cross-functional teams in Enablement, Data Science, Marketing, Finance, and IT is crucial to advancing business initiatives.

We seek experienced leaders who can inspire and develop their teams. Ideal candidates will have a track record of translating business needs into analytical outputs, such as dashboards and data-driven recommendations. Strong communication skills are essential for effective stakeholder collaboration and managing competing priorities. We value analytical, action-oriented, and empathetic leaders passionate about leveraging data insights to achieve better outcomes for our Sales and Sales Development functions.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • 4+ years of work experience
  • 1+ year in an Analyst role
  • 1+ year in a People Manager role
  • Proficiency with SQL and Excel for handling large data sets
  • Experience translating business needs into analytical deliverables

Preferred:

  • Ability to create data visualizations in a BI platform (preferably Tableau)
  • Project management experience with a proven ability to handle a project backlog and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience in Sales/Revenue Operations

First Year Timeline:

Within 1 month:

  • Complete Sprout’s comprehensive onboarding process
  • Develop a plan with your manager to set initial priorities and align on role expectations
  • Begin building relationships with the Sales Operations Analyst team and stakeholders in Sales and Sales Development
  • Familiarize yourself with our sales environment and processes

Within 3 months:

  • Network with members from other teams
  • Assume direct management of the Sales Operations Analyst team, providing mentorship and guidance
  • Understand current reporting, analysis, and recurring work by the Sales Operations Analyst team
  • Learn about Key Performance Indicators, quotas, and Salesforce.com data and sales processes

Within 6 months:

  • Have a performance review to discuss your accomplishments and set professional growth goals
  • Become the expert on operational reporting, quota methodology, credit procedures, and career mobility processes
  • Serve as the main liaison between Sales/Sales Development Leadership and the Sales Operations Analyst team
  • Continue mentoring the team and help prioritize their work

Within 12 months:

  • Innovate and implement unique ideas to enhance the team’s performance
  • Develop proactive support rituals for Sales Leaders, including planning cycles and organizational improvements
  • Centralize and organize analytical resources for sales leaders, managers, and associates
  • Enhance the team’s skills in technical capabilities, project management, stakeholder management, and analytical abilities
  • Identify and drive projects to improve sales functions efficiency

Compensation:
Estimated salary: $70,000 — $120,000/year
