Job Description

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for translating business value goals into user-centered dashboards, visualizations, and data models that facilitate decision-making. This involves using best practices for user interaction and interface design. They must be adept at working with ambiguous datasets and problems, helping stakeholders identify useful and feasible solutions based on available data. They apply statistical methods to test hypotheses, provide predictive modeling for insights, and assess data reliability for strategic planning and reporting. Proficiency in handling various data sets in databases, spreadsheets, and data lakes, strong SQL skills, and experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Looker are essential. They must thrive in an agile environment, have experience with user interfaces that make data accessible, and enjoy complex technical challenges, with a passion for data and analytics.


  • Develop and implement solutions to monitor and improve business performance, from gathering requirements to partnering with data-producing teams and other analysts.
  • Define, instrument, and maintain new and existing business KPIs using SQL queries and Python scripting.
  • Build automation for accurate, scalable, and low-latency solutions to monitor business performance.
  • Create user-friendly dashboards using Tableau or other tools to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure data quality transparency by documenting data sources, validating processes, and regularly auditing results.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to design and implement secure data access pathways for timely dashboards.
  • Develop innovative solutions to unique challenges.
  • Create documentation and provide training to enhance data literacy within the organization.
  • Answer complex business questions using ad-hoc SQL queries or Python notebooks.

  • Degree in Data Analysis, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience with a BS, 7+ years with an MS, or 5+ years with a PhD.
  • 5+ years of experience with databases, business analytics, and large-scale data systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in database design, data modeling, or object modeling.
  • 5+ years of experience with BI/data analytics tools like Power BI, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a data-driven problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to handle pressure and multitask in a fast-paced, changing environment, comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical and communication skills, capable of working independently, and innovative.
  • Team player with a professional attitude and a commitment to integrity, accountability, respect, innovation, and success.

Salary and Compensation:
