Job Description

The expanding Match Group Central Platforms team seeks an analyst to collaborate with various departments within the Match Group organization and our brand portfolio. The goal is to identify, understand, and resolve business, operational, and product challenges. The Senior Data Analyst will report to the Director of Product and provide strategic and tactical analysis, working closely with teams from product, engineering, data science, business intelligence, member experience, and operations.

We offer flexible remote or hybrid work models. Our headquarters is in Dallas, TX, with additional offices in LA, Palo Alto, and New York.

Responsibilities include:

  • Defining, tracking, and monitoring business KPIs for the Central Platforms Product team.
  • Partnering with product managers to create hypotheses, set quantitative goals, and design experiments for roadmap projects.
  • Collaborating with engineering to enhance data collection through improved data infrastructure, pipelining, and warehousing.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements, gather feedback, and implement solutions.
  • Conducting exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns and inform strategy.
  • Extracting meaningful insights from complex datasets using statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
  • Sharing findings across the company, providing detailed analyses for executives, product managers, engineering teams, and other data analysts.
  • Leading the adoption of new analytics frameworks and methodologies.
  • Managing complex analytical assignments.

Ideal candidates have:

  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis for business recommendations.
  • 3+ years of analytics experience working directly with product managers or within a product team.
  • Experience with data warehousing and data pipelining solutions.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in technical data analytics, handling large data sets, and understanding trust and safety analytics metrics.
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts like confidence intervals, normal distribution, correlation, linear regression, and multivariate testing.
  • Excellent communication skills across organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, and Python (or equivalents).
  • Experience with data visualization and analytical tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Salary range: $118,000 – $141,500 annually, based in Los Angeles, CA, with adjustments for other locations.
