The Role: As a Software Engineer II, you’ll join our mobile engineering team based in India, contributing to making Eventbrite an essential platform for discovering premier events worldwide. Our tech landscape encompasses web, mobile, APIs, big data, machine learning, search, and physical point-of-sale and ticket scanning systems. Embracing a people-centric ethos, we foster inclusivity, mentorship, and ongoing learning. Collaborating closely with product management, design, and fellow engineers, you’ll deeply comprehend how users engage with our inventory, crafting systems to effectively meet their needs.

The Team: The Organizer App team is committed to crafting the finest event management tools for organizers globally. Their focus spans overseeing event sales and attendees through iOS or Android devices, monitoring real-time ticket sales, attendee check-ins, live attendance tracking, and secure on-site payment processing. Comprising iOS and Android engineers, a product manager, a designer, and an engineering manager, the team thrives on collaborative problem-solving and upholds a culture of inclusivity, mentorship, and continual learning.

The Skillset:

  • Over 2 years of experience developing iOS mobile applications, proficient in Swift and SwiftUI, with a thorough grasp of the iOS platform and ecosystem
  • Proficiency in crafting secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to a high-impact product serving millions of users
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical peers
  • Previous experience on a mobile software development team
  • Eagerness to learn and grow

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with coroutines and asynchronous code
  • Knowledge of design patterns, mobile architectures, and industry software standards
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose
  • Active participation in open-source software projects
