Job Description

As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in our cross-functional product teams, representing the product perspective. Your team will focus on enabling developers to monetize their web apps, including our billing engine and web SDK. You will identify opportunities, develop solutions, and deliver them with the team.

About you:

  • Over 5 years of product management experience.
  • Passionate about creating products that help developers increase their revenue.
  • Experienced in subscription-based monetization and optimizing checkout experiences in mobile app or web billing.
  • Skilled in contributing to API/SDK design and discussing tradeoffs with engineers.
  • Proven ability to ship and learn quickly, solving complex problems with constraints.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and decision-making under uncertainty, with a track record of ownership and results.
  • Experienced in building strong, cross-functional product teams, even in a remote environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills for asynchronous work.
  • Customer-focused, balancing short-term problem-solving with long-term vision and roadmap planning.

In the first month, you’ll:

  • Familiarize yourself with the product, customers, and team.
  • Contribute to shipping a significant feature to thousands of developers.
  • Get up to speed on ongoing projects in your teams.

Within the first 3 months, you’ll:

  • Build a strong working relationship with your engineering manager and design counterpart.
  • Take ownership of the team’s roadmap and prioritization with the engineering manager.
  • Define quarterly objectives for your teams with engineering manager and leadership.
  • Ship your first major feature end-to-end.
  • Discover opportunities and solutions with your team to deliver customer value.
  • Play a key role in your team’s discovery and delivery processes.
  • Understand our tech stack’s fundamentals and complexities, driving feasibility/value tradeoffs.

Within the first 6 months, you’ll:

  • Help your team grow into a high-performing, engaged unit aligned with company values.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and manage their expectations.
  • Become an expert in your product areas and customer needs, instilling customer empathy in your teams.
  • Independently drive all product-related decisions in your area.
  • Contribute to our knowledge of customers, industry, and trends.
  • Develop a long-term vision for your product area in line with the product strategy.
  • Improve processes and interfaces with other teams.

Within the first 12 months, you’ll:

  • Be willing to discontinue features that don’t deliver expected value.
  • Explore new opportunities for RevenueCat to provide greater customer value.
  • Make significant contributions to our overall product strategy.
  • Elevate RevenueCat Billing and our web SDK to mature, competitive products.
