As a Bloomreach Solutions Architect, you’ll be a key advisor in our dynamic and high-performing global pre-sales team, participating in various stages of the sales cycle. Your role will involve collaborating with our sales team to enhance customer value by leading the technical aspects of scoping and implementing Bloomreach’s rapidly expanding Discovery platform. This position requires a thorough understanding of Bloomreach’s product strategy, professional services, and sales pipeline to identify opportunities where our services can benefit customers and where detailed requirements gathering is necessary for implementations.

Your responsibilities will include working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful engagements from the pre-sales phase. You’ll be hands-on with customers, delivering architecture services, and collaborating with our post-sales teams and customers’ IT teams to meet requirements in a timely manner. Strong customer orientation, excellent collaboration skills, and a solid technical background are crucial for success in this role. You’ll also define, execute, and deliver custom demos and proofs of concept (POCs) to support sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and make key decisions for the Bloomreach Discovery (Search & Merchandising) platform with customers, and collaborate with implementation teams to ensure complete scope fulfillment.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Bloomreach Discovery platform for both technical and business audiences.
  • Assess complexities, identify necessary custom features, and work with internal stakeholders to deliver for the customer.
  • Engage directly with prospects and customers to align key technical design decisions with functional and business requirements.
  • Write comprehensive statements of work.
  • Define, plan, and execute pre-sale POCs for prospects and customers, including data transformation and UI customization/integration.
  • Quickly develop an in-depth understanding of Bloomreach products and their potential to meet customer needs.
  • Enhance internal processes for requirements gathering and scoping.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related degree.
  • Has over 5 years of technical pre-sales experience (Commerce or Enterprise Search, CMA, eCommerce, or related solutions) and can manage a complex technical sales process.
  • Possesses over 5 years of experience in Commerce (as a system integrator, in-house engineer, or in sales of a Commerce solution).
  • Has over 5 years in advanced technical roles (software engineering, development, solution engineering) in complex IT environments.
  • Proficient in Java, PHP, Python, HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
  • Experienced with search appliances/platforms and merchandising tools.
  • Understands merchandising workflows, site analytics, data hierarchies, data transformation techniques, and services-based architectures.
  • Familiar with basic concepts of Machine Learning, AI, and SEO.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, able to address both business and technical audiences.
  • Capable of articulating the value of tools that enable personalized online experiences.
  • Detail-oriented with strong technical problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Creative, with a history of professional achievement and innovative thinking.
  • A self-starter who excels at multitasking and is committed to high standards in executing the sales process, including RFP submissions, discovery, and delivery.
  • Experience with Linux, AWS, and GCP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with network performance, web services, and SEO is an advantage.
